I am privileged to have served a full nine-year term as a Director for Brantford's St. Joseph's Lifecare Foundation, which supports the Stedman Community Hospice in Brantford. This vital community organization provides essential long-term care and end-of-life hospice care to the people in Brantford and Brant County.
Hospice is Hope
The Hospice offers a Residential program with 24-hour care, a Day Wellness program, a Community Outreach program, emotional and spiritual support programs, bereavement support programs and Palliative Care Certificate programs in partnership with The School of Health & Life Sciences and Community Services at Conestoga.
Each year, the Stedman Community Hospice organizes their popular Hike for Hospice event to raise funds that support this important aspect of care.
All monies raised go toward the programs and services Stedman Community Hospice offers to patients at end-of-life and their families.
As a former Director, I would like to extend my sincere personal thanks to every participant in past years' Hikes ... and to the families, organizations and local businesses that supported their generous efforts.
